Take 30 minutes before meals or 1 hour after. In the case of taking fatty foods - no earlier than 1.5 hours after taking it. The maximum daily dosage is 4 doses. Take according to the following regimens.

1. Biliary dyskinesia, chronic pancreatitis, other non-toxic liver disorders, accompanied by severe pain (colic) - after 30-45 minutes until pain and spasms are relieved, but no more than 4 doses per day; further, 2 doses per day.
2. Toxic poisoning, including alcoholic poisoning – 3 times a day.
3. Acute hepatitis – after 1.3-2 hours.
4. Chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis – after 3 hours.

Duration of treatment.

1. For biliary dyskinesia and chronic pancreatitis – up to 4 weeks.
2. Alcohol, chemical and other liver damage - until harmful substances are removed.
3. Chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis – up to 3 months.
4. As a hepatoprotector - until the drug is completely removed from the body; the period for complete withdrawal after the end of treatment is indicated in the manufacturer’s instructions for this drug; if complex therapy is carried out - before the withdrawal date of the slowest drug; if the withdrawal date cannot be determined due to the interaction of several drugs or due to disruption of the endocrine system, the concentration is determined based on the results of a biochemical blood test.

Interaction with other drugs

When taking Galsten tablets, probiotics with lactobacilli and or prebiotics with lactulose simultaneously, the effectiveness of both drugs is reduced.

When taking drops with drugs or folk remedies that include valerian root, motherwort - diarrhea, short-term lack of focus.

In other cases, take Galstena with an interval of 20 minutes between taking other drugs.

Galsten drops and tablets are produced.

• The drug in drops is transparent, has a yellowish color, and a slight specific aroma. Contained in bottles of 20, 50 or 100 ml, the kit also includes a drip dispenser.

In the subsequent days of treatment, it is practiced to take 1-2 doses per day.

Patients with acute and chronic hepatitis, cholelithiasis, and cholecystitis should take the tablets for at least three months. If there is such a need, treatment is repeated after one month.

Galsten drops, instructions for use

This form of Galsten's medication should be taken in the same way, half an hour before meals or an hour after. Before swallowing a dose of drops, you need to hold them in your mouth for a while. Before giving the drops to children, they can be dissolved in water - one tbsp. spoon.

A single dose of Galsten for adults and adolescents is 10 drops, children 5-12 years old - 5-7 drops, children 1-5 years old - 2-4 drops, up to 1 year - 1 drop. Please note that Galstena drops can be used for newborns. In the first days of treatment, the patient should receive a single dose at intervals of half an hour to an hour to relieve acute symptoms. But you can use no more than 4 single doses per day. In the subsequent days of treatment, patients need to drink 10 drops. three times a day.

Duration of use for hepatitis, hepatosis, liver cirrhosis is at least 3 months, for chronic cholecystitis, cholelithiasis, postcholecystectomy syndrome - 2-3 months. If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated after 1 month. For biliary dyskinesia, the duration of treatment is 2–3 weeks. For the purpose of hepatoprotection during or after antibiotic therapy and other hepatotoxic effects, depending on the severity of liver damage, the drug is taken for 2–4 weeks. To achieve maximum effect, it is recommended to take the drug between meals (30 minutes before or 1 hour after meals), keeping it in the mouth for some time before swallowing (tablets - until resorption). For children under 5 years of age, for ease of use, it is recommended to dissolve the drops or tablet in a tablespoon of water.
