Cervical cyst, uterine cyst, Nabothian cyst are closed and dilated glands in the cervix with secretions accumulated in them.
TREATMENT of cervical cyst, uterine cyst, nabothian cyst in our Clinic WITHOUT PAIN. There are RESULTS, there is EXPERIENCE, there are ways to ACHIEVE. |
Due to the inflammatory process in the vaginal part of the cervix (cervicitis) and in the cervical canal (endocervicitis), blockage occurs in the excretory ducts of the mucus-producing glands of the cervix.
The gland filled with mucus increases in volume and is detected during visual examination, colposcopy and ultrasound examination of the pelvis. Thus,
Cervical cyst, Nabothian cyst, occurs as a result of an inflammatory process on the cervix and in the cervical canal after trauma and infection during abortion, childbirth, instrumental examinations (hysteroscopy, diagnostic curettage).
A cervical cyst or Nabothian cyst can be a reservoir for the existence of bacteria and viruses. It is advisable to empty a cervical cyst or Nabothian cyst. All reviews about the treatment
In itself, a cervical cyst, a Nabothian cyst, is NOT DANGEROUS - it never becomes malignant (“does not turn into cancer”).
Cervical cyst, uterine cyst, Nabothian cyst DO NOT AFFECT hormonal levels, the course of pregnancy and the development of the embryo and fetus.
Nabothian cyst, cervical cyst, uterine cyst do not cause the formation of cysts in the ovaries.
Cervical cyst, Nabothian cyst DOES NOT CAUSE miscarriages or delayed menstruation.
BUT in a cervical cyst, nabothian cyst, uterine cyst, in some cases, BACTERIA and viruses persist and multiply, which are the source of recurrent (regularly repeated) inflammatory processes of the cervix (cervicitis, endocervicitis), vagina (colpitis), mucous membrane of the uterine cavity (endometritis) , fallopian tubes and ovaries (salpingitis, salpingoophoritis, oophoritis).
It is the INFLAMMATORY PROCESS that can be one of the causes of ectopic pregnancy and infertility.
Photo of a cervical cyst. A cervical cyst is defined as a vesicle with heterogeneous mucopurulent contents. The vascular network above the cyst is expanded |
Large cervical cysts, Nabothian cysts (1.0 cm or more) can NARROW the cervical canal and be a mechanical factor of infertility. However
Cervical cysts and Nabothian cysts are not the main or only cause of infertility.
A single cervical cyst or multiple cervical cysts do not interfere with pregnancy and labor (childbirth).
If a cervical cyst or nabothian cyst is detected during pregnancy, it is advisable to carry out treatment in the postpartum period after the complete cessation of lochia. As a rule, lochia (sacral discharge from the genital tract) stops by the 40th day after birth.
If the cyst is located in the area of rupture (or incision) of the cervix during childbirth, rupture and spillage of the contents of the cyst are possible.
A single cervical cyst or multiple cervical cysts are not a contraindication for the insertion of an IUD (intrauterine device, “spiral”). Thus,
Cervical cysts and Nabothian cysts DESERVE attention and TREATMENT.

Examination for cervical cyst, nabothian cyst
The examination is carried out in order to detect infection in the vagina, cervical canal and prevent relapse (recurrence) of cervical cysts and nabothian cysts.
The examination includes a microscopic examination of the flora of a smear from the urethra, vagina and cervix; cytological examination of scrapings of the cervix and cervical canal; examination of smears from the cervical canal using PCR for chlamydia, ureaplasma, mycoplasma, trichomonas, gardnerella, human papillomavirus of high cancer risk; blood test using ELISA for antibodies of class G (IgG) to chlamydia, mycoplasma, ureaplasma.
You can perform the necessary clinical and laboratory examination at your place of residence or in our Clinic by appointment. Cost of examination
The results of the laboratory test are valid for 2 months from the date of execution in the absence of a change of sexual partner.
Types of polyps
To correctly determine the method of treatment, you need to know what type of disease the woman is faced with. Polyps appearing in the cervical canal are divided into 4 groups:
- adenomatous;
- glandular-fibrous;
- fibrous;
- mucous membranes.
Adenomatous growths are characterized by large sizes (4 cm or more) and a homogeneous structure. They are the most dangerous and most often develop into cancer. To be on the safe side after removal of the growth, patients are prescribed a course of chemotherapy.
Glandular-fibrous neoplasm is characterized by a heterogeneous structure. It consists of a connective tissue base on which glandular tissue grows. The size of growths of this type on the neck rarely exceeds 2.5 mm.
Fibrous neoplasms most often occur in patients over 40 years of age. They consist of connective tissue cells. In many cases, lack of treatment leads to the appearance of malignant tumors.
Mucous polyps are formed by glandular cellular structures. Most often, such growths appear in patients of reproductive age. Their size rarely exceeds 1.5 cm. This is the safest type of benign formation. After removal, growths rarely appear again. They almost never develop into malignant tumors.
Treatment of uterine cysts, cervical cysts, nabothian cysts
WITHOUT PAIN, there are RESULTS, there is EXPERIENCE, there are ways to ACHIEVE.
Treatment of cervical cysts, nabothian cysts in the Women's Health Resort Clinic WITHOUT PAIN using the radio wave method.
Treatment of cervical cysts, nabothian cysts, and uterine cysts located deep in the cervical canal is not required. They need to be monitored twice a year.
Treatment of cervical cysts and nabothian cysts involves opening and draining - creating a thin opening and releasing the contents of the cyst.
We perform opening and drainage of cervical cysts and nabothian cysts on any day of the menstrual cycle, except for the days of menstruation and 3 days before its onset. This limitation is explained by the prevention of cervical endometriosis.
If there are clean smears and no hidden infections, additional special preparation for the treatment of nabothian cysts is not required.
If an increased number of leukocytes, yeast, gardnerella, leptothrix, chlamydia, ureaplasma, and mycoplasma are detected in smears, preliminary treatment is required.
You can carry out preliminary treatment at the Women's Health Resort Clinic or at your place of residence. Service cost
Treatment of cervical cysts and nabothian cysts is carried out at the Women's Health Resort Clinic on the same day of treatment. No hospitalization required.
Treatment of cervical cysts, nabothian cysts in the Women's Health Resort Clinic in ONE visit and WITHOUT PAIN using the radio wave method (Surgitron device).
The procedure takes 1-2 seconds, no anesthesia is required!
Photo of a cervical cyst after treatment in our Clinic. Cervical cyst opened by radio wave method. Transparent, thick mucus flows from the thinnest hole |
Treatment of cervical cysts consists of non-contact vaporization (EVAPORATION) of the thinnest passage, reminiscent of the excretory duct of the gland, with ultra-high sound vibrations (radio waves) - so the person does not feel them.
Next, vacuum DRAINAGE is carried out (complete removal of accumulated mucus).
After emptying, the cervical cyst collapses, the walls of the cyst stick together and then, as a rule, the cyst does not fill again.
The contents of old cervical cysts and nabothian cysts are a viscous jelly-like mass.
The technique is approved by the Ministry of Health for use even by nulliparous women, because it does not cause burns or scar formation that prevents the dilation of the cervix during childbirth.
The radio wave method of treating uterine cysts, cervical cysts, nabothian cysts belongs to the category of gentle treatment methods.
HEALING of the cervix after treatment in our Clinic occurs within 3 days.
After radio wave treatment of nabothian cysts for 1-3 days, in some cases, scanty yellow discharge from the vagina may be observed.
There are no complications.
Intimacy is possible one day after treatment of cervical cysts and nabothian cysts. If you don't want to get pregnant, contraception is necessary.
Treatment of recurrent (re-occurring) cervical cysts, nabothian cysts in the Women's Health Resort Clinic is based on a combination of medicines from natural raw materials with physiotherapeutic procedures: vacuum sanitation of the cervical canal, ultrasound sanitation of the vagina and vaginal thermal irrigation with sanitizing solutions.
The catheter-vibrators used in the Clinic for vacuum sanitation (vacuum PROVOCATION) “knock out” infection from the glands of the cervix and hard-to-reach cervical cysts.
In a number of complex diagnostic cases in the presence of a long-term “causeless” inflammatory process in the vagina, uterine cavity and uterine appendages after vacuum provocation, it is possible to IDENTIFY chlamydia, mycoplasma, ureaplasma, trichomonas and gonococci (causing chronic asymptomatic chlamydia, mycoplasmosis, ureaplasmosis, trichomoniasis and gonorrhea) .
Thus, vacuum sanitation is a highly effective therapeutic and diagnostic procedure. About vacuum sanitation in detail...
Through vibration nozzles, the contents of uterine cysts and desquamated cells of the mucous membrane of the cervical canal with adsorbed (adhered to the cells) bacteria are suctioned.
Next, the drug, through the combined action of an electromagnetic field and heat, is injected directly into the foci of infection in the submucosal layer of the cervical canal.
Ultrasonic sanitation deeply CLEANS the mucous membranes of the uterine cavity and vagina: painlessly DESCLOSURES and removes cells with bacteria adhering to them, allows you to “cleanse” cellular receptors and increase their ability to bind hormones.
Ultrasound sanitation is especially EFFECTIVE in girls and women with irregular menstrual cycles, painful menstruation and in preparation for pregnancy. About ultrasonic sanitation in detail...
In addition to local treatment, we sanitize (cleanse) the lymphatic pathways, which are a natural barrier to infection.
Directed transport of the drug through the lymphatic tract allows you to quickly create its high concentration directly in the lymph nodes and inflammatory focus, primarily bypassing the digestive tract and bloodstream.
This avoids the destruction of drugs by digestive enzymes, reduces the dose of drugs and the risk of overdose, and avoids negative systemic effects on the liver, intestines, kidneys and other organs.
This technique allows for a more effective and gentle approach to the treatment of the cervix.
The use of natural biologically active substances in the therapeutic mud of Lake Tambukan allows, simultaneously with antimicrobial therapy, to restore the damaged complex of cell membranes at the site of inflammation and the protective functions of the liver. About healing mud in detail...
Our experience in spa treatment shows that the use of medicines based on natural mineral and plant raw materials and physiotherapeutic procedures is an important physiological (corresponding to human physiology) method of treating cervical cysts, endocervicitis and cervicitis.
Treatment of cervical cysts, recurrent uterine cysts, nabothian cysts, as a rule, lasts 7 days.
Examinations and treatment procedures are performed from the FIRST DAY of your visit to the Clinic.
The EFFECTIVENESS of a single course of treatment is high. The persistence of the effect depends on the presence and treatment of concomitant sluggish endocervicitis (see Program No. 6. Complex treatment of endocervicitis).
All physiotherapeutic procedures at the Women's Health Resort Clinic are performed painlessly, in comfortable conditions, by professionally trained midwives.
Contraindications to physiotherapeutic treatment are general contraindications to physiotherapy: stage 3 hypertension, oncological processes in the body, severe somatic (therapeutic) diseases in the stage of decompensation.
Each physiotherapeutic procedure and contraindications to it are described in detail on our website in the corresponding paragraph of the article “Physiotherapy”.
During the treatment of nabothian cysts and recurrent cervical cysts, contraception with a condom is mandatory due to the active release of infection from the depot and an increased risk of infection of the sexual partner.
Pregnancy can be planned in the next menstrual cycle based on the data of the control examination.
During the treatment of cervical cysts and nabothian cysts, there are no restrictions or dietary restrictions or physical activity.
Visiting the pool, sunbathing in natural conditions and solariums, and traveling by land and air transport are not contraindicated.
Dysplasia
Atypical changes in the structure of the squamous epithelium are called cervical dysplasia. This condition is classified as precancerous.
Dysplasia has 3 degrees of severity:
I degree – slight atypia of epithelial cells is detected. The pathological layer extends to less than 1/3 of the thickness of the walls of the cervix.
I degree – average degree of cell change. The atypical layer occupies half or more of the thickness of the organ walls.
III degree – significant cellular pathology, which is widespread? channel thickness.
Dysplasia progresses relatively slowly and is capable of complete recovery with timely diagnosis.
At the first stage, the gynecologist can take a wait-and-see approach with periodic monitoring of the disease - often the woman’s body copes with mild atypia on its own.
At the second stage, destruction of the affected area is prescribed using various methods.
In the third stage, conization of the cervix is usually performed.
Dysplasia is usually asymptomatic and can only be detected through a specific test - a cytological smear (PAP smear). Then colposcopy and mandatory histological examination of a sample of the affected tissue are performed.

Causes of the disease
As with fibroids of other localizations, the main etiological factor in the appearance of benign cervical tumors is hormonal imbalance. Until recently, scientists considered the main cause of fibroids to be an increased amount of estrogen in the body. However, recent studies have demonstrated that excess progesterone also plays an important role in the development of uterine fibroids. You need to understand that excess hormones are important only in the early stages of fibroid growth. After reaching 3-4 cm in diameter, the tumor acquires the ability to autonomously regulate growth.
In addition to hormonal imbalance, the appearance of fibroids is promoted by:
- traumatic childbirth, accompanied by ruptures of cervical tissue;
- frequent instrumental abortions;
- diagnostic and therapeutic interventions accompanied by cervical dilatation;
- acute and, especially, chronic endocervicitis;
- absence of childbirth or late birth of the first child;
- refusal of breastfeeding;
- burdened heredity;
- uncontrolled use of hormonal drugs;
- early puberty and late cessation of menstruation;
- diseases of the endocrine glands;
- obesity.
In addition, excessive psycho-emotional stress plays an important role in the development of fibroids.
Treatment of uterine cysts with folk remedies
Treatment with folk remedies for uterine cysts, cervical cysts, and Nabothian cysts is not mentioned in the history of folk medicine.
Detection of cervical cysts and nabothian cysts became possible only in 1925, when Hans Ginzelmann created the first colposcope.
Prevention of cervical cysts is timely treatment of colpitis, endocervicitis and other inflammatory diseases of the genitals. About the prevention of female diseases in detail...

Make an appointment with a gynecologist
How to establish the correct diagnosis?
Nabothian cysts are usually identified by a gynecologist during an examination. Often this is enough. Sometimes the disease is detected during a pelvic ultrasound, computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging, when the cervix is examined.
If after examination by a gynecologist the diagnosis is still unclear, a colposcopy is performed - examination of the cervix using a special instrument under magnification. This study is also carried out at the ProfMedLab clinic. You can read about what it is and how the procedure goes here.
If an area of the cervical mucosa looks suspicious, the gynecologist will perform a biopsy. He will obtain a fragment of the altered tissue and send it to the laboratory for examination under a microscope.
What are the types of neoplasms in the reproductive organs?
- ectopic pregnancy, in which a fertilized egg implants outside the uterus;
- an abscess in the uterine tube or ovary, which occurs with inflammatory and infectious diseases of the pelvic organs;
- endometrioma - benign ovarian cyst;
- leiomyoma (fibroids) is a benign gynecological tumor;
- Ovarian torsion is an acute gynecological situation with impaired blood supply to the ovary;
- cancerous tumors.
What are the risk factors for the appearance of large tumors in the pelvis?
The list of such factors depends on the nature of the neoplasm. For example, more than 80% of cases of ovarian torsion occur in women with large ovaries (more than 5 cm). The risk of fibroid formation increases with:
- the woman is over 50 years old;
- early onset of menstruation;
- use of oral contraceptives under 16 years of age;
- increase in body mass index.
Malignant neoplasms often have a genetic predisposition, and the likelihood of their occurrence increases if such pathologies are present in the family. In addition, risk factors for cancerous lesions are endometriosis, postmenopausal hormone therapy, obesity, high stature, and old age.
Summary
Not all mass tumors in the pelvic area are malignant, and they do not always require immediate intensive treatment. An important role here is played by high-quality diagnostics, which makes it possible to find out the nature of such a neoplasm and its exact localization.
You should also not neglect regular preventive examinations by specialists. Doctors at the Anadolu Clinic have extensive knowledge in the field of diagnosis and use advanced and effective treatment methods in their practice.
The material was prepared in agreement with Anadolu doctor, professor obstetrician-gynecologist Murat Dede.
Clinical picture
As a rule, in the initial stages, myomatous nodes occur without characteristic symptoms. In most cases, such fibroids are detected by chance, during the next preventive gynecological examination.
At later stages the following complaints appear:
- long and heavy menstruation - explained by weakening of the uterine tone;
- iron deficiency anemia - as a result of bleeding;
- general weakness, dizziness, short-term loss of consciousness are typical complaints present in anemia;
- uterine bleeding not associated with menstruation;
- pain in the lower abdomen and lower back, intensifying during menstruation or disturbing throughout the menstrual cycle;
- impaired urination and problems with defecation due to compression of the pelvic organs by the tumor.
Depending on the location of the node, some differences may be observed in the symptoms of the disease. Fibroids located closer to the mucous membrane are usually accompanied by severe cramping pain, heavy bleeding and anemia. Interstitial nodes lead to disruption of the menstrual cycle and improper functioning of the pelvic organs.
Subserous tumors of the uterus provoke severe pain, radiating to the lower back and perineum. Disturbances in urination and defecation are also possible.
