Fermencol gel. Instructions for use for scars, scars, stretch marks. Composition, price, analogues

From this article you will learn:

  • Fermenkol: patient reviews, price,
  • Fermenkol gel - instructions for use using the application method and using the phonophoresis technique.

Fermenkol is a drug based on a complex of proteolytic enzymes (collagenolytic proteases) obtained from marine and freshwater organisms. Fermenkol destroys excessively formed pathological collagen, which makes up hypertrophic and keloid scars.

Indications for use –

  • for hypertrophic and keloid scars (Fig. 1-2),
  • for scars after acne (Fig. 3),
  • to prevent the occurrence of these types of scars.

Release form

The product is produced in the form of a gel for external application, lyophilized powder, and a kit for enzyme correction is available for sale. The gel form is the most popular. It requires no preparation and is immediately ready for application. The powder requires dilution with a special solution, and it is important to strictly follow the indicated dosage.

The enzyme correction kit includes not only the powder, but also a solvent called Solactin. Solactin is a clear liquid that is intended for diluting powder. The result is a homogeneous mass. The powder is available in glass bottles, the volume of each of them is 4 mg. The gel is produced in two variations - 10 mg and 30 mg. Aluminum tube.

The powder can be used independently at home, but this form of release seems inconvenient for many people.

Solactin ensures that the active substances of the drug penetrate into the depths of the scar or scar, so the result from using the enzyme correction kit is most pronounced. It is convenient because it is possible to produce different concentrations of the drug. Depending on the stage of severity of the skin defect, you can select the most effective concentration.

Products that stimulate regeneration Fermenkol (gel)

Oh, what a problem girl I am. And I have bad hair (restored, TTT), and scars on my face, and excess weight) Just an excellent object for testing all kinds of miracle remedies: P So, another long review)

I tried this gel at the dawn of its appearance, in 2008, and it seriously helped smooth out the scars on my face (I have different ones - hyper-, atro- and normotrophic, but I am more concerned about the protruding hypertrophic ones). For those who remember, this was the time when Solazol spray was included in the gel/creams. And the gel helped me without any electrophoresis/phonophoresis and so on.

But my hands are playful, I am one of those funny people who find it difficult not to rip off a wound on their leg, not to squeeze out a pimple, and who are the source of their own scars. It would not be an exaggeration to say that I have a lot of scars, these are not just dots from squeezed out pimples, but I don’t do that anymore, almost ^^. And I don’t regret and love my terrible scars, but I don’t want to scare people, and I want more lovers, so I again needed Fermenkol for the existing new fresh (~1-2 years) scars. Especially hypertrophic ones, which Fermenkol should have handled with a bang.

I almost always bought fermenkol from their website (or from their resellers in my city). In 2011, fermenkol was not available for sale due to technical reasons. In 2012 it appeared, but the batch was defective, the gel caused skin irritation, which I found out by writing to them about it, they sent me another tube as a replacement, which did not cause irritation, but did not help at all :(.

Since 2012, the gel came without Solazol spray and before application it was only recommended to wipe the skin with some cleansing lotion or something like that. To be honest, I don’t like changes like this, and, apparently, they tinkered with the composition. Therefore, I thought that after a defective batch they added less than what was needed for each element, and the product stopped working.

I decided that I would wait a little, maybe the next batch will have the normal composition. I waited and bought a new tube of gel. To be sure, I bought a Nevoton device for electrophoresis at home. Conducted a course of procedures - 0 effect. Precisely 0, not a “weak effect”. In general, I didn’t like Nevoton, the instructions say “you should feel a pleasant tingling sensation” - fig. Either it gives you an electric shock, or you don’t feel anything. In short, nothing pleasant.

Oh, and by the way, I also tried Mepiform patches. Absolutely useless on the face - don't waste your money! Maybe they would somehow stay on the cheeks, but on the forehead/chin (especially if the skin is uneven, and of course it is uneven). And I’m generally silent about the possibility of using them repeatedly.

I started looking for other options. And here I can recommend 2 good, and even very good things (however, the story about fermenkol is not finished yet).

1) Hiruscar gel, produced in Hong Kong in collaboration with Switzerland (site where you can buy and read reviews, mainly in Chinese X) -> [link]).

There are two types of tubes: “3in1”, 10 g each. and “2in1” 20 gr. Both will cost ~423 rubles, when ordering 2 pieces. on promotion. Payment by card or via PayPal, in general there are different payment methods. Delivery is free only for orders over $39, otherwise delivery will cost $12 (~400r). It takes ~1 month. I advise you to take 2, it’s cheaper. I didn’t try the 10-gram one, I took the cheaper one, it seemed to me that they were the same in composition and purpose. Next time I’ll try “3in1”. But for testing, “2 in 1” is enough.

If you look at it, its composition/consistency/smell is similar to useless contratubes/mederma. Those. it contains one of the components Allium Cepa = onion. I saw this when ordering, but the reviews convinced me to try it. Actually, although it is similar, it is different, and its smell is gentler and more pleasant, and it is quickly absorbed like a real gel; you can apply foundation on it without any problems.

From this gel I got the effect that I expected from Fermenkol, i.e. visible : |!!! In fact, the scars did not smooth out at all, but they really began to look better and became lighter. There are products in the world about which you think “it seemed to help, but maybe it didn’t help” or “it seemed to help me, but it turned out that it was self-deception.” So with hiruscar it helped 100%, I’m glad I took it, and then I bought 2 more tubes as a reserve. I still have a suspicion that it makes my skin better; it has never (TTT) caused me any pimples or blemishes like other creams and gels.

It’s hard for me to say how long it lasts, because... I use it with short experimental breaks. It’s definitely enough for a month, maybe 2. I started using it in September. I'm finishing my second tube now.

2) Dermaroller/mesoroller (dermaroller/dermapen/dermastamp), 1.5mm (I'm thinking about trying 2mm for some areas, and using a dermapen instead of a dermaroller). The internet is full of pictures. There are needles of shorter length, but for scars the recommended length is from 1.5 mm for the face, 2 mm for the body. There are also rollers with different numbers of needles - 540 and 200. I recommend 200, I tried 540 - it penetrates the skin worse and takes a long time to heal.

Pros: everyone knows that we knock out a wedge with a wedge). In fact, if they hadn’t started selling such a thing, I would have come up with something like that myself. In general, physiotherapists abroad recommend massage to “break” scars. In this case, this is a more radical breaking, probably closer to a fraxel laser. The needles passing through the scar destroy some of its fibers, giving way to new skin. This is of course a very long process. But judging by the reviews, it has results, especially for post-acne (for example, this guy posted his results on a video blog for almost two years [link]). But I also noticed changes for the better in my scars, little by little the scars are leveling out. This is noticeable, especially after the first two procedures. If it weren’t so painful, I would do this procedure every extraction.. I’ll probably start doing every extraction, I’ll only finish the epic with Fermenkol).

This method has disadvantages:

it hurts, especially on the face X) It’s tolerable, but it hurts. Some people use painkillers, but I’m somehow afraid to apply extra medicine, I’d rather be patient. On the body, most likely, it is not so noticeable. It bleeds during the procedure, then the face is inflamed, it takes at least a couple of days to recover. It all depends on your glamor, I don’t worry about scars or redness on my face, so it’s not a problem for me to go to work, even if my face has not yet fully recovered.

I first ordered through a group on VK (~770 rubles), and then I started ordering through ebay ^^ (you need PayPal), they cost about $5 (~150 rubles) there with free shipping, it took me ~1.5 months. There is no difference in quality, it is bad everywhere)) joke). They are simply designed for one-time use, but if used carefully, they should be enough for ~6 times. However, this does not apply to long needles, IMHO. In general, I don’t know... After one time, the games can become dull, bend slightly, after which they begin to “catch” the skin, and the process becomes more painful.

So... I certainly liked these two pieces, but I was still hoping for something more). Therefore, having once again read all the materials on the Fermenkol website, I decided to try phonophoresis). I ordered a Reton device there for phonophoresis at home. Took the course (and even longer). No result. Zero. I can’t say anything bad about the device, it’s pleasant, it feels warm and all that, it might even work, so it’s normal. But the scars were and remain.

I gave it up for a while. Then I finally got inspired to try scrubs and peels (which I heard about that don’t help with scars, but you never know...). Scrub is, of course, pampering. But the peeling (exfoliant) from Cora is nothing like that, it does not remove scars, but it evens out the skin around it a little, so there is some effect. I don't regret the purchase. But I decided to kill two birds with one stone and try applying Fermenkol after peeling. They also advise applying it after cleansing the skin, and what could be cooler than peeling?! But I don't see any effect. Of course, I will finish the tube, but I won’t buy it again, and I won’t recommend it.

I know one thing, before the gel helped without any additional devices or procedures, but now it doesn’t help at all.

********

PS I can’t help but mention all sorts of radical measures, such as laser, dermabrasion, deep acid peels, etc. Baba Yaga is against) I advise you to read the reviews, especially the first link (especially page 11, as well as Olga’s reviews!!)

I can tell you from my personal experience. Somehow I decided to have mechanical dermabrasion, went to a cool paid clinic in my city, and made an appointment with a surgeon for a consultation (400 rubles). He looked, felt, and said - you can’t do it yet (it was summer), buy Dermatix (sucks! Jewishly expensive sticky sparkling thing that you can’t apply foundation on), come in the fall. I asked him about Fermenkol, that it gives good results and all that. This was the first time he had heard about this remedy). This is a doctor who deals with scars! The consultation lasted at most 7 minutes. Of course, I frowned, but I came in the fall. There was another cool doctor there (another 400 rubles). The consultation again took no more than 7 minutes. She told me, “how can I do dermabrasion for you here, I don’t even have a cutter like that, there’s only a laser, come tomorrow, we’ll do everything.” Omg.. no mention of the consequences, about pigmentation, about the rehabilitation period. Of course, I decided that no, no, especially in my city).

If anyone can recommend anything else, write: R. If I find anything else good, I’ll write in the comments ^^

Mode of application

Electrophoresis. Based on the clinical form, age, area and depth of the scar, Fermencol solutions of various concentrations are used. The recommended concentration for the correction of hypertrophic scars is 0.01-0.02%, for keloids - 0.05-0.1%. The required concentration of the solution is selected based on the table.

Type of scarRecommended solution concentration, %Required amount of Solactin per 1 bottle of Fermencol, ml
Hypertrophic "young" 0,01 40
Hypertrophic mature 0,02 20
Keloid “young” 0,05 8
Keloid mature 0,1 4

To carry out the procedure, 0.1-0.2 ml of Fermencol® solution is required per 1 cm² of scar tissue. Moisten a layer of filter paper or gauze with Fermenkol solution and apply to the scarred area of skin. Place a pad with an electrode soaked in water on top. To avoid burns, the gasket should protrude beyond the boundaries of the electrode along the perimeter.

Introduction should be carried out from the positive pole (anode)! Administration mode: current density is no more than 0.1 mA/cm² when the scar is localized on the skin of the torso and limbs, and no more than 0.05 mA/cm² for electrophoresis in the facial area. In children under 5 years of age, during electrophoresis in the facial area, the current density should not exceed 0.01 mA/cm².

The duration of the procedure is 20-25 minutes. After the electrophoresis procedure, you should remain indoors for about 30 minutes. Course duration is 10-15 procedures. Frequency of procedures: preferably every day at the same time of day, but not less than every other day. The interval between courses is 7-10 days.

Remove the bottles from the packaging. Read the instructions carefully. Open the bottles. Pour a small amount of Solactin into the bottle with Fermenkol.
Pour the contents of the bottle into a measuring cup. Add the required amount of Solactin, following the table. Draw the required amount of solution into the syringe, based on the area of the scar (0.3-0.5 ml per 1 cm² of scar tissue).
Moisten a napkin with the solution. Place a napkin on the scar surface. Proceed with the electrophoresis procedure.

Mechanism of scar reduction

Fermencol has high collagenolytic activity, providing deep hydrolysis of collagen peptide bonds. Hydrolysis of collagen occurs down to individual amino acids.

Fermenkol exhibits selective activity against branched molecules of pathological collagen with nodular and vortex folding, characteristic of keloid and hypertrophic scars, and is less active against fibrils of native collagen inherent in healthy connective tissue. Scar reduction occurs due to the destruction of excess collagen. In addition to collagenolytic activity, Fermencol® has general proteolytic activity and the ability to hydrolyze polysaccharides, which has a complex effect on all components of the extracellular matrix of the scar.

In the process of using Fermenkol to eliminate acne (acne) and its consequences, the scar capsule around the inflamed gland is destroyed, which helps cleanse it, reduce the volume of scar tissue and smooth the skin.

special instructions

Use no earlier than 3-4 weeks after injury, burn or surgery.

Safety

Fermenkol cosmetics contain active enzymes. If the skin is hypersensitive, they can cause redness, which disappears soon after the end of the course of use. If Fermenkol or its solutions, as well as the gel, get into your eyes, rinse them with plenty of water. Getting into an open wound is not dangerous. Keep away from children.

Storage conditions

Store in a cool, dry, dark place, do not freeze or heat above +40°C. The shelf life of the prepared Fermenkol solution is 7 days at a temperature of +2°C to +6°C; the solution should not be frozen.

Instructions

pharmachologic effect

The instructions for use characterize Fermencol gel as a complex pharmaceutical preparation with a wide spectrum of action. The drug is allowed to be used as monotherapy, as it has proven high effectiveness. In severe cases, it is prescribed in conjunction with other drugs intended to eliminate scars and scars.

Only a dermatologist can prescribe additional medications, having first carefully examined the condition of the epidermis. Fermenkol has a complex effect on the elements of scar tissue. It practically does not affect healthy tissue, since it has a selective, distinct effect on scar tissue.

The drug has collagenolytic activity. This involves breaking down excess collagen in pathological tissue into individual amino acids. Pathological collagen is the basis of a scar or stretch mark; Fermenkol is aimed at its destruction.

The product also has hyaluronidase activity. This involves the destruction of pathological hyaluronic acid in connective tissue into individual oligosaccharides. Due to this, intercollagen bonds are significantly weakened.

Due to the complex effect on scar tissue, positive results can be achieved. The scar either disappears completely or is significantly reduced in size. The firmness and elasticity of the epidermis increases, and the skin tone is normalized and evened out. As a result of using Fermenkol gel, itching and irritation at the site of scarring disappear.

Fermenkol also affects the skin from the hydration side, namely moisturizing and nutrition. During the use of the drug, dehydrated scar tissue becomes moisturized, and its parameters approach the state of an absolutely healthy epidermis.

Long-term use allows you to achieve deep and complete hydrolysis and destruction of peptide bonds. Deep hydrolysis of hyaluronic acid in the intercellular matrix allows you to achieve quick and lasting results.

As a result of the course of treatment, the following results can be achieved:

  • Reduction of stretch marks or scars in size. Minor defects in most cases disappear completely.
  • Normalization of the color of the epidermis at the site of scarring. Due to this, the skin color becomes uniform and defects become less noticeable.
  • Elimination of itching, irritation and other uncomfortable sensations.
  • Increasing the elasticity of the epidermis at the site of a scar or stretch mark.
  • The feeling of skin tightness disappears.

Visually, the skin is smoothed, and it also becomes more homogeneous to the touch. The result is achieved by leveling the microrelief of the skin. The gel is most effective against scars; use to eliminate stretch marks gives the least pronounced results.

In some cases, dermatologists recommend this remedy for the treatment of minor burns. In this case, it is not recommended to prescribe the drug yourself, since improper use of the drug can significantly worsen the condition of the epidermis.

How Fermenkol works -

The active components of Fermenkol have high activity in reducing the rate of collagen production in the skin. As you know, scar tissue forms due to increased levels of collagen production. Keloid and hypertrophic scars are formed as a result of an unexplained failure in collagen production - when collagen is produced in excessive, excessive quantities.

Collagenase, which is part of Fermenkol products, selectively acts only on the molecules of pathological collagen contained in the scar tissue of atrophic and keloid scars, destroying them, resulting in a reduction in the scar. According to the manufacturer: Fermenkol has virtually no effect on normal collagen of healthy skin tissue.

Thus, with the help of a complex of enzymes, collagen and elastin fibers are hydrolyzed, which break down into individual amino acids. Enzymes also hydrolyze polysaccharides in scar tissue, such as hyaluronic acid.

Important : Fermenkol only acts on scars that are no more than 1-2 years old, when scar tissue formation is still active.

Technologies that ensure the effectiveness of Fermenkol –

  1. Firstly, the manufacturer uses collagenolytic proteases with a molecular weight of only 23,000 to 36,000 Daltons, which ensures good penetration of enzymes deep into scar tissue.
  2. Secondly, Fermenkol contains components that increase the permeability of the stratum corneum of the skin by increasing its hydration (moistening), and also increase the permeability of the dermis due to the swelling and loosening of interstitial collagen and elastin.
  3. It is also known that scar tissue has very little hydration (moistening) with water when compared to normal skin tissue. A normal level of hydration provides healthy skin with turgor, elasticity, a youthful and healthy appearance. Fermenkol provides not only the hydrolysis of pathological collagen, but also deep hydration of scar tissue, which together ensures a reduction in scars, as well as an improvement in their appearance.

Indications for use

Fermenkol gel is in most cases prescribed to eliminate scars on the skin. The instructions for use indicate other cases when it is advisable to use this particular drug.

The drug may be prescribed to treat burns caused by high temperatures, chemical liquids or harmful radiation. At the moment of regeneration after a burn, the process of accumulation of pathological collagen occurs, its fibrils chaotically intertwine with each other. As a result, a dense texture is formed on the skin.

Fermenkol eliminates excess collagen that accumulates after any burns. For severe burns, it is recommended to use the product in powder form, as it is able to penetrate into the deepest layers of the dermis.

Fermenkol gel is most often used to eliminate scars and post-acne. In this case, it is aimed not only at destroying scar tissue, but also at combating pigmentation. A long course of the drug allows you to completely clear your face of scars. It is recommended to begin treatment as soon as scarring appears on the skin.

Stagnant post-acne responds much worse to all kinds of therapy. Scar tissue becomes almost invisible on the face, as it blends in tone with healthy skin. Pathological collagen is destroyed, which leads to softening of scar tissue.

Phonophoresis using a special Fermenkol kit allows you to achieve results several times faster , but before using the kit at home, you must first consult with a dermatologist.

The product can be used not only after acne spots, but also for scars caused by surgery. In this case, it is very important to start treatment immediately, since it is almost impossible to completely remove a stagnant scar.

But even an old scar can be made less noticeable if the drug is used correctly. For scars after surgery, it is recommended to combine the use of the gel with phonophoresis powder.

Fermenkol is often used to eliminate stretch marks. Relatively recently, a new form of the product was released, called Fermenkol Elactin, designed specifically to combat stretch marks. Some experts compare the product with laser techniques, noting its high efficiency.

The drug acts in several directions:

  • Increases skin elasticity at the site of stretch marks.
  • Renews the affected area of the epidermis.
  • Restores the structure of the skin, making it uniform.
  • Stretch marks are considered atrophic scars, and Fermenkol acts specifically on scar tissue.

Due to this, the skin becomes homogeneous, and defects in the form of stretch marks are not so noticeable. In advanced cases, it is recommended to combine the application of the gel and phonophoresis with a special set.

Pharmacological properties

Fermencol has a collagenolytic effect. It ensures deep hydrolysis of collagen, breaking peptide bonds between amino acids. The drug exhibits selective activity against pathological collagen molecules with vortex and nodular packing. It exhibits less activity against fibrils of native collagen present in healthy tissue. The destruction of excess collagen leads to scar reduction.

Fermencol also has a general proteolytic effect and is capable of hydrolyzing polysaccharides. Thanks to this, a complex effect is achieved on the components of scar tissue.

When Fermenkol is used to eliminate acne and its consequences, the scar capsule around the inflamed glands is destroyed, as a result of which they are cleansed, the volume of scar tissue is reduced and the skin is smoothed.

Thanks to the use of a cosmetic product, the following effects are observed:

  • the volume of the scar decreases;
  • the color of the skin in the scar area is normalized;
  • itching and discomfort are reduced;
  • the feeling of tightness is removed;
  • The elasticity of the skin in the scar area increases.

Instructions for use

Fermencol gel (instructions for use describe a detailed treatment regimen for each case) cannot be used for self-prescription. Before starting therapy, it is recommended to consult a dermatologist. The specialist will be able to accurately determine the duration of the course, as well as prescribe the required dosage. If necessary, additional medications may be prescribed.

Fermenkol can be used in 2 ways - using application, as well as during phonophoresis.

The application technique is recommended for fresh scars or stretch marks. A small amount of pathological collagen has accumulated in them, so the use of an external gel will be sufficient.

Application involves the following sequence:

  1. Cleanse skin with a mild cleanser without harsh fragrances.
  2. Dry the skin.
  3. Apply the gel in a circular motion to the area of the scar, scar, stretch marks or burn. At the same time lightly massaging. Allow the product to be completely absorbed.
  4. Repeat the procedure 2-3 times a day.

The course of treatment is individual for each patient. On average, its duration is 1 month. If necessary, therapy can be extended for a longer period.

The phonophoresis technique is suitable for severe cases. It involves the use of an external agent in conjunction with a device that produces ultrasonic waves. This device is easy to use and suitable for independent home use.

The technique involves applying Fermenkol gel or powder to the affected area of the skin, and then influencing it using a device. Ultrasonic waves allow the components of the drug to penetrate into the deep layers of the dermis, which makes application more effective.

The duration of one procedure for adults should not exceed 5 minutes. For children, exposure time is 3 minutes. The duration of the course is determined depending on the stage of skin damage.

Fermenkol: reviews from scars, photos

Fermenkol - reviews show that the drug really reduces the severity of hypertrophic scars by about 10-20%.
Moreover, the drug can be used not only to treat existing scars, but also to prevent their occurrence. Thanks to phonophoresis with Fermenkol gel, reviews from scars noted: → blanching of scars, → reduction of scars in size, → reduction in the density of scar tissue, → reduction in skin tightening, → increase in elasticity of scar skin, → reduction or complete cessation of itching.

Reviews included the following disadvantages of the drug Fermencol:

  • high cost of the drug,
  • quick consumption (apply 3 times a day),
  • short period of validity after opening the tube.

Important : reviews also noted that after 2012 (when the manufacturer slightly changed the composition of the drug) its effect significantly worsened. Patients with acne scars who used the drug regularly complained about this especially. Also, when analyzing the manufacturer’s website, we noted that all the rave reviews published there are certainly of an advertising nature, and were clearly left not by patients, but by the manufacturer himself.

It is also worth noting that the drug (and this is normal) cannot act equally on all patients, which is due to the individual characteristics of scar formation in different people. The effectiveness of the drug may be influenced by: features of traumatic tissue damage, features of the scalpel incision, quality of suturing, genetic predisposition to keloid scars, autoimmune and endocrine diseases, time of treatment, etc.

Features of use during pregnancy

Pregnancy is not a direct contraindication to the use of the drug. The product is intended for external use, so it is not dangerous to the health of mother and child.

It is worth considering that during pregnancy, skin reactions can be unpredictable. During this period, under the influence of hormones, she is most prone to various allergic reactions. It is also possible that the effectiveness of therapy will decrease. If any side effects occur, it is recommended to stop treatment immediately.

Side effects

The use of the drug is almost always easily tolerated by patients; it extremely rarely causes side effects.

Possible adverse reactions include the following:

  • allergic reactions;
  • the appearance of itching, irritation and urticaria in the areas where the product is applied;
  • local redness and increased skin temperature;
  • a tingling feeling that disappears fairly quickly.

Any side effects when using Fermenkol are mild. They may disappear on their own during the treatment process as the skin adapts to the drug. If unwanted reactions do not disappear, it is recommended to choose another drug.

Reviews about Fermenkol

On the Internet you can find numerous reviews about Fermenkol. In most cases, the cosmetic product is evaluated positively, noting its effectiveness, ease of use, natural composition, absence of dyes and fragrances, good tolerance and the rare occurrence of allergic reactions.

The disadvantages of the product include its high cost and short shelf life of opened packaging. Some patients note its low effectiveness and rapid consumption. Also in reviews you can find information that the drug is not sold in all pharmacies.

Interactions

Fermenkol gel (instructions for use are presented for informational purposes only and do not replace the official instructions for the product) does not imply interaction with other medications.

In order to maintain the effectiveness of the product, it is not recommended to apply it to the skin immediately after other local medications. If you have a tendency to allergic reactions, it is recommended to first consult with a specialist if complex treatment is planned.

special instructions

Applying the drug to areas with violations of the integrity of the skin does not imply danger. If the gel or powder gets into your eyes, you must immediately rinse them with warm, clean water.

Fermenkol is allowed to be used locally after malignant neoplasms, but only with caution and after consulting an oncologist. During the treatment process, it is necessary to be regularly monitored by a specialist. It is not recommended to apply cosmetics immediately after using the drug; it is advisable to wait a while.

Terms of sale and storage

The drug must be stored in a dry and dark place, out of reach of children. The temperature should be from 0 to +25 degrees. An open tube of gel must not be stored for more than 1 month. The finished solution can be stored for a week if the temperature is maintained. Recommended temperature is from +1 to +6 degrees. The sealed period is 3 years.

The drug is freely available and does not require a prescription to purchase it.

Cheap and expensive analogues

The drug has many analogues from different price categories.

Inexpensive substitutes include the following:

  1. Dermofibrase.
  2. Lidaza.
  3. Vinitan Forte.
  4. Kelotan.
  5. Rescuer.
  6. Contratubeks.

More expensive products include the following:

  1. Kelo-Kot.
  2. Strataderm cream.
  3. Stratamed.
  4. Collost.
  5. Dermatix.

The drugs have a similar principle of action, but differ in their composition. The selection of a substitute is advisable in case of individual intolerance to the components and hypersensitivity to them.

If you have a tendency to allergic reactions, it is necessary to first check for allergies when using each product and begin therapy gradually.

Price of the drug in Moscow, St. Petersburg and regions

The cost of the product differs depending on the region of sale. Approximate prices will be presented in the table below.

RegionPrice
Moscow and Moscow region900-1000 rub.
Saint Petersburg850-950 rub.
Yaroslavl region870-920 rub.
Krasnodar region950-1100 rub.
Krasnoyarsk region1000-1200 rub.
Ryazan Oblast850-970 rub.

The drug can also be purchased from online pharmacies. The average cost in this case is 850-950 rubles. The price is for Fermencol gel 10 mg. A volume of 30 mg costs on average 1500-1600 rubles.

Reviews from dermatologists about the effectiveness of the product

Experts note that Fermencol is several times more effective than many well-known drugs. Compared to products such as Contratubeks, Collagenase or Kelotan, Fermenkol provides the fastest results.

In severe cases, dermatologists and cosmetologists recommend using not only a gel for topical application, but also combining it with phonophoresis. This approach allows you to destroy the structure of a scar, scar, burn or stretch mark in the deep layers of the epidermis. That is why many experts compare the Fermenkol treatment course with laser correction techniques.

Unlike laser, Fermenkol has practically no contraindications, it is easily tolerated by patients, rarely provokes side effects and does not require a rehabilitation period.

To achieve the desired result, dermatologists recommend taking a course of therapy, which on average includes 20 phonophoresis procedures and regular application of gel to the affected areas for a month.

Not only doctors and cosmetologists note the high results from using the product. Most patients were also satisfied; reviews of this drug were mostly positive. People note a mild effect, quick results, as well as a general improvement in the condition of the skin.

Many experts note the high effectiveness of the use of Fermencol gel. To achieve maximum results, they recommend strictly following the instructions for use.

Directions for use and dosage

Gel

Fermenkol in gel form is used in the form of applications, as well as during phonophoresis and electrophoresis procedures.

Applications with the gel are recommended in the early stages of scar formation (no earlier than 3–4 weeks after surgery, burn or injury).

The gel is applied to clean, dry skin in the scar area 2-3 times a day. The duration of one course is 30–40 days. A repeat course is possible after 10–14 days.

To correct dense mature scars after wounds, surgical interventions, acne, burns and Dupuytren's contracture, phonophoresis with Fermencol gel is used. With phonophoresis, the effect of the drug is enhanced, as a result of which the skin restoration process is accelerated.

Before the phonophoresis procedure, it is recommended to thoroughly clean the skin. To improve the penetration of the active components into the tissue, you can apply a hot cloth (not scalding).

When used in the neck and face area, the recommended radiation intensity is 0.2 W/cm2, in the area of the limbs and torso – 0.3 W/cm2. When using phonophoresis in children, the duration of the procedure per area is 2–3 minutes, in adults – 3–5 minutes. The total duration of phonophoresis in several areas: for children – 10 minutes, for adults – 20 minutes. The procedures are carried out daily, the interval between them should not be more than 2 days. One course requires 10–15 procedures. Repeated courses are possible after 10–14 days.

The phonophoresis procedure is performed with extreme caution on young scars, since ultrasound can stimulate scar growth. In children, ultrasound therapy can be used from 3 years of age, but it is recommended to avoid exposure to ultrasound on growth areas.

If it is impossible to carry out phonophoresis, electrophoresis with Fermenkol is used. The procedure is carried out using the Nevoton apparatus.

Electrophoresis is used for scars of limited area located on the face, for example, for post-acne scars. The procedure is also indicated for the correction of scars in hard-to-reach areas (in the armpit area, on the hands).

Lyophilized powder

Fermencol in the form of a lyophilized powder is used during the electrophoresis procedure, having previously prepared a solution of the required concentration. When choosing the concentration of the solution, the area, depth, age and clinical shape of the scar are taken into account:

  • hypertrophic scar up to 6 months: 0.01% solution (1 bottle of powder requires 40 ml of Solactin);
  • hypertrophic mature scar: 0.02% solution (1 bottle of powder requires 20 ml of Solactin);
  • keloid scar up to 6 months: 0.05% solution (1 bottle of powder requires 8 ml of Solactin);
  • keloid mature scar: 0.1% solution (1 bottle of powder requires 4 ml of Solactin).

To carry out the electrophoresis procedure, about 0.1–0.2 ml of solution is required per 1 cm2 of scar tissue. Moisten a gauze pad or a layer of filtered paper with the prepared solution and apply it to clean, dry skin. A gasket with an electrode soaked in water should be placed on top. The gasket should be slightly larger than the electrode and protrude beyond its perimeter to avoid burns.

Introduction is carried out from the anode (positive pole). When the scar is localized in the neck and face, the current density should be no more than 0.05 mA/cm2, for scars on the skin of the limbs and torso - no more than 0.1 mA/cm2. When carrying out the procedure in children under 5 years of age, the current density during electrophoresis in the neck and face should be no more than 0.01 mA/cm2.

The duration of one procedure for children under 5 years old is 10–15 minutes, for adults and children over 5 years old – 20–25 minutes. The procedures are carried out daily, with a permissible interval of no more than 2 days. One course requires 10–15 procedures. Repeated courses are possible after 7–10 days.
