Corvaltab is a drug. It has the following pharmacological effects: sedative, antispasmodic, vasodilator. Helps reduce excitability of the central nervous system and normalizes sleep. There are a lot of reasons for stress in the world, for example, hard work, or everyday problems, or just a bad day. Korvaltab in this case is used as first aid. Korvaltab for blood pressure. Korvaltab as a sedative is exactly the drug that every person should have in their first aid kit.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Corvaltab tablets, due to the properties of the active ingredients, have a calming effect , help reduce the excitability of the central nervous system and facilitate the process of falling asleep. Antispasmodic and sedative effects, similar to the effects of valerian extract , are inherent in the ethyl ester of α-bromoisovaleric acid , which is part of Corvaltab, which, when taken in large doses, also exhibits an unexpressed hypnotic effect . The sedative and vasodilating effect of phenobarbital manifests itself in small doses and turns into a hypnotic when taking higher doses. All this is supported by the antispasmodic and reflex vasodilating effects of mint oil.

Metabolized in the liver with the participation of microsomal enzymes by hydroxylation. The half-life (T 1/2) in adults is 2-4 days. Repeated use is characterized by material accumulation. Continuous long-term use of barbiturates leads to the development of addiction. Excreted by the kidneys. Peppermint oil is quickly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The main component of peppermint oil, menthol, is transformed in the liver to form a conjugate with glucuronic acid, which is excreted from the body through the kidneys. α-bromoisovaleric acid ethyl ester is metabolized by deesterification to form isovaleric acid. Pharmacodynamics Corvaltab helps reduce the excitability of the central nervous system, has a calming effect and facilitates the onset of natural sleep. The ethyl ester of a-bromoisovaleric acid included in the drug has a sedative and antispasmodic effect, similar to the effect of valerian extract; in large doses it also has a mild hypnotic effect. Phenobarbital has a vasodilating, sedative and hypnotic effect in appropriate doses. Peppermint oil has reflex vasodilating and antispasmodic effects. Indications for use - neuroses with increased irritability - increased excitability - insomnia, including difficulty falling asleep - neurocircular dystonia (including tachycardia, coronary vasospasm) - arterial hypertension of the first degree - spasms of the digestive tract caused by neurovegetative disorders Method of administration and doses. The drug is taken orally. The dosage and duration of treatment are determined by the doctor individually for each patient. Adults are usually prescribed 1-2 tablets of the drug 2-3 times a day before meals. For tachycardia and spasms of coronary vessels, the single dose can be increased to 3 tablets. The drug may increase the toxicity of methotrexate. Simultaneous use with neuroleptics and anxiolytics enhances, and with stimulants of the central nervous system, weakens the effect of the drug. Ethanol (alcohol) enhances the effects of the drug and may increase its toxicity. Phenobarbital reduces the antibacterial activity of antibiotics and sulfonamides, the antifungal effect of griseofulvin (reduces absorption), the effectiveness of indirect anticoagulants, HSC, doxycycline, estrogens metabolized in the liver through oxidation (accelerates their destruction).
