Nutrition by blood type: table of permitted and prohibited foods, menu

In this article we will tell you:

  1. The principle of the blood type diet, the scientific basis
  2. Pros and cons of nutrition based on blood type
  3. Nutrition according to blood group I (type O) (food table, menu)
  4. Nutrition according to blood group II (type A) (food table, menu)
  5. Nutrition according to blood group III (type B) (food table, menu)
  6. Nutrition according to blood group IV (type AB) (food table, menu)
  7. Is it possible to lose weight on a blood type diet?

The blood type diet has been popular for several decades. Proponents of this diet suggest that your blood type determines which foods are best for your health.

Following a suitable diet will guarantee not only weight loss, but also overall health, and recommendations range from strict vegetarianism for blood type 2 to a meat-based paleo diet for blood group 1. But what are the details of the blood type diet and is it based on any solid evidence?

The principle of the blood type diet, the scientific basis

The diet was popularized by naturopathic physician Peter D'Adamo in 1996. His book "4 Blood Types - 4 Lifestyles" became a New York Times bestseller, sold millions of copies and is still extremely popular.

The author believed that during the process of evolution, the composition of human blood changed with changes in the type of food. The diet and type of metabolism were formed under the prevailing type of social labor. These postulates formed the basis of the blood group diet.

Depending on the type of activity, certain foods predominated in the diet of ancient people: meat, plant foods, dairy products. Nutritional dominance caused the formation of different blood groups.

According to the authors, to maintain health, a person must eat foods that suit him. The rest need to be excluded or their presence minimized. Otherwise, metabolic processes fail and obesity develops.

There is logic in building such a health system. Long-term practice of its use notes evidence of improved functionality of internal organs and loss of excess weight.

People with the same blood type share common characteristics

:

  • biorhythms;
  • food preferences;
  • level of stress resistance;
  • tendency to the same diseases.

During the analysis of people's nutrition by blood type, 3 categories of products were identified:

  1. Harmful

    .They break down and release toxic substances - they have a negative effect on the body.

  2. Neutral

    .Do not change the intensity of metabolic processes, but do not bring benefits.

  3. Useful

    .They act only positively: they normalize metabolic processes and provide energy.

As such, the blood type diet divides all people into four types - “hunters” with blood type O(I), “farmers” with blood type A(II), “nomads” with type B(III) and mixed type with type AB(IV).

The basic recommendations are quite universal and suitable for any person, healthy eating tips.

One of the central theories of the blood type diet involves proteins called lectins.

Lectins

are a diverse family of proteins that can bind sugar molecules. These substances are considered antinutrients and can have negative effects on the intestinal lining.

According to the blood type diet theory, the diet contains many lectins specifically targeted to different blood types. It is claimed that consuming the wrong types of lectins for your blood type can lead to agglutination (clumping together) of red blood cells.

In fact, there is evidence that a small percentage of lectins in raw legumes may have blood type-specific agglutinating activity.

For example, raw lima beans may only interact with red blood cells in people with blood type A. However, most agglutinating lectins react with all ABO blood types.

In other words, lectins in the diet are independent of blood type, with the exception of a few varieties of raw legumes.

This may not be the case because most legumes are soaked and/or cooked before consumption, which destroys harmful lectins.

What do the studies say?

Blood group research has advanced rapidly in the last few years and decades.

There is now good evidence that people with certain blood types may have a higher or lower risk of certain diseases.

For example, people with blood type O have a lower risk of heart disease but a higher risk of stomach ulcers.

However, there are no studies showing that this has anything to do with diet.

In a large observational study of 1,455 young people, eating a Type A diet (high in fruits and vegetables) was associated with better health outcomes. But this effect was seen in everyone who ate a type A diet, not just people with type A blood.

One of the studies that found a link between blood types and food allergies actually contradicted the blood type diet recommendations.

As part of the analysis of all available scientific works (about one and a half thousand studies) on the relationship between blood type and health, only 16 studies partially confirmed that following a blood type diet can have any effect on the body. The remaining hundreds of studies have found no connection between health, nutrition and blood type.

It is also important that at the moment there is not a single scientific study proving the direct effect of following a blood type diet with real weight loss or improved health. It’s interesting, but even the author himself speaks very carefully about the effect of his proposed diet on losing weight and burning fat, mentioning modest figures of 3-4 kg.

Thus, modern research suggests that despite the presence of a certain logic in the theoretical basis of the blood group diet, it is impossible to give an unambiguous and universal recommendation for eating food solely based on a single metabolic characteristic.

In fact, such a recommendation simply will not take into account the enzymatic and endocrine activity of a particular person.

The author of the diet, Peter D'Adamo, claims that his theory is based on centuries-old observations of the Japanese linking temperament and a certain blood type.

There are no references to sources of information or any specific studies in his books, just as nothing is said about the basis on which the author divides specific products into useful and harmful.

It should also be noted that Peter D'Adamo is not a practicing doctor and does not hold any scientific degrees. In simple words, the theory of the connection between diet and blood type is solely his personal opinion, based on his own comparison of facts, but not on any scientific data.

So, even if you follow one of these diets and your health improves, it doesn't necessarily mean it has anything to do with your blood type.

Maybe the reason for the health benefits is simply that you're eating healthier foods than before. After all, all 4 diet types are based on real, healthy food and are a huge step up from the standard Western diet of processed junk food.

Are there any contraindications

Another advantage of the diet is that eating according to blood type has virtually no contraindications. Products can be combined, as opposed to separate meals. The exception is personal intolerance to certain dishes. But even if the patient has an allergic reaction to certain types of food, they can always be replaced with analogues. This sets the d'Amado table apart from other more restrictive diets.

To prevent negative consequences, some contraindications should be taken into account

In addition, it is necessary to take into account the presence of concomitant diseases in a person. If, for example, a patient suffers from hypertension or other cardiovascular pathologies, fatty meat dishes should be excluded from the menu even for representatives of the first group, despite the fact that the diet for the first blood group includes a large amount of meat products. At the same time, people suffering from anemia should not give up meat, even if predominantly plant and protein foods are indicated.

Another aspect is age characteristics. Preschool children who are classified as meat eaters should not make a menu based only on this product. Elderly patients suffering from osteoporosis and other diseases are not recommended to completely give up calcium-containing foods, even if the basis of their diet should include only meat dishes.

To summarize, we can say that before following a diet, you must undergo a comprehensive medical examination and consult with a specialist. Especially if this applies to people with diseases such as diabetes, pathologies of the kidneys, liver, heart and other organs.

Pros and cons of nutrition based on blood type

Dietary principles of nutrition according to blood groups are suitable for all people who strive to lead a healthy lifestyle and have no contraindications for health reasons. The regimen is designed for a long period (2-6 months) and has a lasting effect. The diet is balanced, it contains all nutrients in optimal proportions.

Main advantages

:

  • balance;
  • softness;
  • a large selection of healthy products, many neutral ones;
  • Infrequent consumption of prohibited foods is acceptable.

Disadvantages of the weight loss system by blood type

:

  • there is no guarantee of excess weight loss;
  • you need to take into account the state of the digestive system, control cholesterol levels;
  • it is necessary to change taste preferences;
  • high risk of failure due to prolonged dietary restriction;
  • The nutritional system is based on a hypothesis and has no scientific basis.

A significant disadvantage of the diet is a large list of contraindications

:

  • chronic stomach diseases;
  • pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • pathology of the heart or blood vessels;
  • blood diseases, diabetes, weak immunity;
  • exacerbation of infectious or viral diseases.

Numerous studies in the field of nutrition prove that the Rh factor has no effect on the digestibility of food. This means that the choice of products, menu and nutritional recommendations will be the same for the first positive and first negative blood groups.

In the book “Nutrition by Blood Type,” Peter D'Adamo writes that neither the Rh factor, nor gender, nor age matter when compiling a diet. However, his next bestseller, entitled “4 Blood Types - 4 Paths to Health,” contains separate diet menus for 3 positive and 3 negative blood types. But they differ slightly.

Advantages and disadvantages

Representatives of official medicine have differing opinions regarding such a diet. Some argue that nutrition according to James D'Amado is not a panacea and can even harm a patient with a particular disease. Proponents of the opposite point of view insist that the blood type diet is an excellent way to lose weight and prevent many ailments, which should not be used just once, but throughout a person’s life. Like many other diets, genetic eating has its pros and cons.

When developing his diet, James D'Amado was guided by the principles that with improper nutrition, a conflict occurs in the human blood between proteins supplied with food and antibodies. But from a scientific point of view, it is known that upon entering the body, any protein dissolves into amino acids, and antibodies cannot determine their origin.

Despite the obvious disadvantages, the blood type diet has its advantages. Nutrition helps normalize body weight by reducing the total number of calories entering the body. The dishes included in the diet are healthy and healthy. The table includes a variety of products, so the nutrition is complete and balanced.

Diet based on blood types has its pros and cons.

Important! Thanks to strict adherence to certain rules, it is possible to provide the patient with sufficient energy and saturate the body with useful vitamins and minerals.

Nutrition according to blood group I (type O)

Type O (blood type 1) is called “hunter”.

In the process of evolutionary development of mankind, they appeared first. The leading activity was hunting; meat predominated in the diet. Physiological characteristics of the body

with blood group I:

  • more powerful immunity;
  • significant activity of the digestive system;
  • low metabolic rate.

“Hunters” tolerate experiments with nutrition extremely poorly. Losing weight by blood type will be successful if you increase the percentage of protein foods and minimize the consumption of carbohydrate foods. Daily calorie content is 1500–1800 kcal. With blood type I, maximum efforts are often required to “accelerate” metabolism.

“Hunters” with the first blood group are classified as athletic mesomorphs and are endowed with increased stress resistance and strong immunity.

Nutrition according to blood group II (type A)

Type A (second blood group) is called agrarian or “farmer”. They are described as somewhat hysterical people who are able to get rid of excessive stress solely through the transition to vegetarianism and a complete refusal of meat.

Nutrition for blood group 2 is divided into two types: for 2 negative and 2 positive. Each of them has its own rules and nuances of application.

The second negative blood group has its own characteristics. Its owners are characterized by the presence

:

  • high production of the hormone cortisol during anxiety;
  • thick blood that provokes the formation of blood clots;
  • fat deposits.

This situation arose when grain became the main food instead of meat. The body had to rebuild, change the digestive system. At the same time, the absorption of animal proteins - dairy products, meat - has worsened.

The menu for every day should include

the following components:

  • fresh, thoroughly washed vegetables;
  • porridge (but not with milk!);
  • legumes;
  • freshly squeezed vegetable and fruit juices (preference is given to juice from celery, apples and carrots);
  • Dinner can be varied with a glass of quality red wine.

Recommendation for each of the 4 groups

Now let’s take a closer look at the permitted and prohibited foods for each blood group. What foods can you eat and what can you not?

First (I)

According to D'Adamo's theory, those with the first blood group should definitely include in their diet:

  1. Red meat and beef . Ideally, it should be game, that is, the meat of wild animals. The proteins contained in them constitute the highest nutritional value for people with this blood type.
  2. Liver and organs of animals. Their use allows you to increase the level of hemoglobin in the blood and, as a result, accelerate the absorption of nutrients and the formation of lecithins.
  3. Fish. Fatty varieties of sea fish, such as sardines, herring, halibut, are especially useful. It would also be a good idea to include shrimp and oysters in your diet - all of this contains essential amino acids for the body, including omega-3 (necessary for normal brain function).
  4. Sea kale, prunes. Vegetable oil should also be included in the diet, but preference should be given to olive oil.

By the way, such a diet is often called “ancient Greek”. It is believed that all of these products were the basis of the diet of the ancient Greeks, which allowed them to own the most powerful army in the world (according to historians).

We discussed nutritional features for group 1 in a separate article.

But the products for those with the first blood group are:

  1. Cereals. Essentially, all foods that are high in gluten can be included here. And a gluten-free diet, as you might guess, is ideal for those with the first blood group.
  2. Dairy products. Fermented milk products with a high fat content are especially “harmful” - sour cream, cream, butter and ghee.
  3. Corn, beans, lentils, apples. These are the foods that cause “fermentation” and can provoke a sharp change in the intestinal microflora. And in people with the first blood group, it is “focused” mainly on animal meat and simple proteins.

But D’Adamo classified the following as “neutral” products:

  1. leafy vegetables;
  2. sprouted grain;
  3. artichokes;
  4. broccoli.

That is, plant foods that practically do not “load” the digestive system, but at the same time help strengthen the immune system. The same sprouted grain, for example, contains interferons, which stimulate the body’s immune response to the activity of pathogenic bacteria.

Also check out the table:

Second (II)

The basis of the diet for people with the second blood group involves minimizing the presence of animal foods and dairy products in the diet. And preference should be given to plant foods.

According to D'Adamo, strict vegetarianism is best suited for those with the second blood type. The diet should definitely include:

  1. Fiber-rich vegetables and fruits. They are a kind of “stimulants” of digestive function. And it is from vegetables and fruits that a person receives all the micronutrients, fiber, and vitamins he needs.
  2. Vegetable oils. Moreover, D'Adamo recommends constantly changing them. That is, at one time use traditional sunflower, then olive, then cottonseed, corn, and so on. They help indirectly regulate water-salt metabolism, and also provide the body with easily digestible fats, which are ultimately transformed into clean energy.
  3. Cereals and grains. Gluten-containing ones are also possible, but you should not overuse them (James generally recommended that everyone gradually give up gluten).
  4. Green tea. Helps normalize brain activity, providing it with micronutrients necessary for the production of neurotransmitters.

We discussed nutritional features for group 2 in a separate article.

But those with the second blood group should avoid the following foods:

  1. Red meat. According to D'Adamo, its use leads to inhibition of digestive function, when the body simply stops absorbing micronutrients even from plant foods.
  2. Dairy products. By the way, even scientists confirm that those with the second blood group most often have problems with the synthesis of enzymes that help digest lactose.
  3. Beans, eggplants, tomatoes, potatoes, olives. They contain “complex” proteins, which create a powerful load on the digestive tract, comparable to eating red meat.
  4. Black tea. It contains caffeine, which in large quantities negatively affects brain function.
  5. Concentrated drinks. The body is simply not prepared to consume concentrates, since they absorb a minimum of micronutrients. Oddly enough, in the ancient world, when people mastered agriculture, no one prepared juices.

Neutral products for those with the second blood group are:

  1. Fish and seafood. Again, D'Adamo recommends choosing fatty varieties of saltwater fish.
  2. Apricots, pineapples, grapefruits, carrots. They contain fiber and vitamin A and help absorb calcium.
  3. Poultry liver. Easily digestible, helps produce hemoglobin.

Also check out the table:

Third (III)

According to D'Adamo's book, this group includes about 20% of the entire world population.

It is believed that their digestive system is the most “resistant” to sudden changes in diet; it can adapt to any conditions, like those of nomads who had to wander around the world, and during short stops they produced their own food from agricultural and livestock products.

So, the right foods for those with the third blood group are:

  1. Meat and fish. As for meat, you should give preference to homemade. Fish – preferably also grown in artificial reservoirs (on artificial feeding). All this provides the body with the necessary amino acids, including essential ones.
  2. Eggs and dairy products . They just began to be used when wild animals began to be actively domesticated.
  3. Cereals and vegetables. Moreover, the body of people with the third blood group is the most “resistant” to gluten, but still it should not be abused - it will not bring any benefit.
  4. Vegetables. You can eat almost anything, just limiting the presence of corn and tomatoes in your diet.
  5. Fruits. There are no restrictions here at all - you can have apples, citrus fruits, kiwis, and any “exotic” fruits.

We discussed nutritional features for group 3 in a separate article.

Products not recommended for those with blood group 3 are:

  1. fatty pork;
  2. olives;
  3. corn;
  4. lentils;
  5. peanut.

D'Adamo also claims that with the third blood group one should categorically refuse alcoholic beverages, even in small quantities. That is, even a small glass of red wine with dinner will not bring any benefit in this case.

Neutral products include:

  1. soy;
  2. caviar of any types of fish;
  3. berries;
  4. dairy desserts.

That is, they can be included in your diet without any consequences, but they should not form the basis of it.

Also check out the table:

Fourth (IV)

James D'Adamo has repeatedly called the fourth blood group the “youngest” and, as a result, optimal for the diet of a modern person. In fact, their diet can be very varied and include both plant foods and animal proteins.

The only thing you should strictly avoid is red meat and game. And the most useful products for owners of this blood type will be the following:

  1. Soy. Moreover, it should be consumed as part of a wide variety of dishes. It is imperative to include tofu in your diet. It is this that helps to obtain the main portion of protein necessary for the growth of muscle tissue.
  2. Fish and caviar. It is a source of essential amino acids and “rare” vitamins.
  3. Dairy products. You can completely ignore its fat content. It is fermented milk products that help those with the fourth blood group “speed up” digestion and optimize intestinal function.
  4. Berries. They are a source of ascorbic acid and indigestible fiber.
  5. Rice. From it the body receives starch, which is transformed into complex carbohydrates and energy.

We discussed nutritional features for group 4 in a separate article.

The presence of the following foods in the diet should be limited:

  1. red meat, game;
  2. beans and legumes;
  3. buckwheat grain;
  4. citrus;
  5. mushrooms;
  6. nuts (especially peanuts, but pistachios and walnuts should still be consumed occasionally).

D'Adamo also claims that in those with blood type IV, the gastrointestinal tract is the most “vulnerable” to stress and nervousness. Therefore, they should be avoided if possible.

“Neutral” products for blood group 4 include:

  1. dry red wine;
  2. green vegetables and fruits;
  3. potato.

Also see the table:

Nutrition according to blood group III (type B)

Type B (third blood group) is called a “nomad”. These people can eat plants and most meats (except chicken and pork), and can also eat dairy products. However, they should avoid wheat, corn, lentils, tomatoes and some other foods.

Otherwise, nutrition for the third blood group is recommended according to the principle of a carbohydrate-free diet.

Menu for blood group 3

You can often hear questions about how the list of products differs for people with a third negative blood group. In fact, there are no special differences here.

All the same products are allowed, but the same products are prohibited. But here it is worth paying more attention to nutrition. Rh negative makes the body more sensitive to nutrition. It is necessary to completely eliminate prohibited foods from the diet, and also be very careful about those allowed for limited consumption.

Sample menu for one day for each group

For each genetic type of blood group, the diet has its own characteristics. The desired result can only be achieved by strictly following the author’s recommendations and completely avoiding prohibited products. The peculiarity of this menu is that the table is designed for smooth and safe weight loss and restoration of all vital functions of the body.

You can create the menu yourself or contact a nutritionist

Menu for the first genetic type

One of the diet options for blood type 1 per day is as follows:

  • morning - boiled or baked fish meat, vegetable salad, pineapple, cherry or carrot juice;
  • day - raw or baked vegetables, boiled meat, bean dish or porridge, dried fruit compote;
  • evening - porridge with vegetables, herbal tea.

As already mentioned, the diet for the first blood group should include a sufficient amount of meat and fish, since this genetic type belongs to the “hunters”.

Menu for the second genetic type

The diet for the second blood group should be made taking into account healthy and harmful foods. A sample daily menu looks like this:

  • morning – lean fish or meat, a glass of kefir, fresh or baked vegetables;
  • day – legumes or porridge, stewed fish, fruit slices from apples, prunes, herbal tea;
  • evening - spotted bean puree, pineapple or cherry juice.

A type 2 diet should include recommended dishes and neutral foods. Even if you cannot immediately completely give up prohibited foods, do not despair. You need to switch to a healthy diet gradually so that it does not cause a person severe moral discomfort.

Menu for the third genetic type

Nutrition for blood group 3 on day 1 may look like this:

  • morning - one or two steamed chicken cutlets with a side dish of bell peppers and carrots, fruit, herbal tea;
  • day - oatmeal bread with sheep cheese, cottage cheese, cranberry juice;
  • evening - dinner for the first blood group may include baked trout, pike or halibut, steam omelet, green tea.

People with group 3 can independently create a menu based on the data in the table. Don't be afraid to experiment and use new recipes. This will help diversify your diet and lift your mood.

Menu for the fourth genetic type

The fourth type of people includes the second and third blood groups. Their menu features mixed dishes and should be rich in fish, meat, cereals, and dairy products. A sample menu for 1 day might look like this:

  • morning - boiled or baked rabbit, sweet pepper and cucumber salad, seasoned with olive oil, coffee;
  • day - goat cheese casserole, fruit slices from kiwi, grapefruit, pineapple, grape or cherry juice;
  • evening - rye bread with sheep's cheese, stewed vegetables, green tea.

Proponents of blood type nutrition believe that such a diet is very effective and helps not only to lose weight, but also to prevent most diseases. If you decide to use it, you should find out your blood type and feel free to switch to proper nutrition. To prevent negative consequences, you should definitely consult your doctor.

Nutrition according to blood group IV (type AB)

Type AB (blood group four) is mixed - that is, it has the characteristics of several other groups.

Described as a mixture of types A and B. Foods to be eaten include seafood, tofu, dairy products, beans and grains. They should avoid beans, corn, beef and chicken.

The list of foods that can be consumed will allow you to find the best option for each person.

A study by Danish scientists found that group 4 is the most vulnerable to developing venous thromboembolism (blood clots in the veins), accounting for 20% of the risk. Experts studied data on 66,001 people who were observed for 33 years from 1977 to 2010 and came to the conclusion that blood type AB should be included in genetic screening for thrombophilia.

The diet should be light and balanced, but the main thing is that the body must receive a large amount of vitamins and microelements.

When preparing dishes, the emphasis should be placed not on their taste, but more on their usefulness.

Other recommendations are:

  2. The amount of fat in the daily diet should be minimized, while plant fiber and natural antioxidants along with vitamins should prevail in excess.
  3. Alcohol, coffee, and carbonated drinks are considered forbidden; it is recommended to quench thirst with herbal infusions or green tea.
  4. Limit salt, sugar is prohibited, it is also advisable to exclude butter, and the best option is olive oil.

You need to eat up to 5 times a day. In the morning, breakfast can be hearty and “energetic”, lunch can be healthy and nutritious, and dinner (not late in the evening) can be light, with a feeling of malnutrition in the stomach. For an afternoon snack - vegetables, fruits.

Rh factor

In addition to antigens A and B, many people also have the so-called Rh factor on the surface of their red blood cells. This is also an antigen that is shared by 85 percent of Europeans and 99 percent of Asians. Such people are called Rh positive or RH+
.
Those who do not have the Rh factor in their blood are called Rh negative or RH-
. If blood is transfused from a person with a negative Rh factor to a person with a positive Rh factor, no problems arise. Otherwise, Rh antibodies begin to be produced in the recipient’s blood, which lead to the destruction of red blood cells. Taking into account the presence of the Rh factor, a total of eight blood groups are obtained: 0 Rh+, 0Rh-, A Rh+, A Rh-, B Rh+, B Rh-, AB Rh+, AB Rh-.

Is it possible to lose weight on a blood type diet?

In the world, about 40% of the population have type 1 blood. They need nutritional supplements with iodine, manganese, calcium, vitamins K and B.

If, in order to achieve a positive result - weight loss - a diet according to the first blood group is chosen, a number of actions are required

:

  • Include more seafood and seaweed (seaweed). They replenish iodine deficiency. This microelement is part of the thyroid hormones, and it has a direct effect on metabolism. Radish and radish activate the production of thyroid hormones.
  • Give preference to green vegetables. Cucumbers, spinach, broccoli, green onions strengthen the body.
  • Eliminate heavy foods from your diet that overload the digestive system (fried foods, smoked foods, processed foods, canned food, alcohol).
  • It is preferable to boil, stew, steam, or grill foods.
  • Practice dosed physical activity with high intensity (aerobics, swimming, skiing).
  • Proteins are the basis of the hunters’ diet. Products that speed up metabolism will help them lose weight. This is, for example, red meat and liver. Pork and goose are poorly digestible.

On Earth, almost 39% of people have blood type 2.

Thanks to the correct selection of products, toxins will be removed from the body, and the functioning of the intestines and stomach will be normalized. To get significant results, it is recommended

:

  • exercise moderately - walking, swimming, yoga;
  • eliminate emotional stress;
  • avoid overwork;
  • give up sweets and baked goods;
  • take chromium and selenium, vitamin E, B.

15% of the world's population have type 3 blood. During a diet, these people have the richest diet, but they are more likely to be overweight than others. They need to take additional magnesium and lecithin. Sports such as running and walking, swimming, exercise bike, tennis are suitable for them; yoga classes are also useful.

Representatives of the mixed group are only 6%. This type of person needs intense physical activity - running, cycling, swimming. Recommended food supplements include zinc, selenium, and B vitamins.

For people with the fourth blood group, in order to get rid of excess weight, it is recommended to reduce daily fat intake, and focus mainly on proteins and dietary fiber.

Bread made from wheat flour and sweets, as in all other diets, are considered prohibited foods and will not help a patient with positive blood type 4 lose weight.

The blood type diet can be followed throughout your life as it provides a balanced diet. But if the dietary regime is followed temporarily, you need to switch to a regular food system smoothly. You should maintain your diet menu for at least a week, adding only a small amount of prohibited foods to it.

Despite the safe list of products, the technique is only suitable for healthy people who do not need medical nutrition. If you have gastrointestinal diseases or other health problems, the diet can make you feel worse. To prevent this from happening, consult a specialist before using it.

Remember that nutrition based on blood type does not have an evidence-based scientific basis, confirmed by clinical studies.

Basic principles

It has been proven that excess weight and many diseases in 90% of cases are the result of poor nutrition. Having heard from a doctor the phrase that you need to follow a diet, many patients fall into despair, because for most of them it is quite difficult to limit themselves in nutrition. The blood type diet helps you lose extra pounds and prevent the development of various diseases without much difficulty. The patient does not have to count calories and give up favorite foods. All you need to do is exclude only some foods from your diet, and the desired result will not take long to arrive.

American physician James D'Amado, as a result of his many years of research, suggested that each blood group has its own positive, negative and neutral products. The scientist argued that dishes that are healthy for some people can be harmful to other patients. Based on this, we can conclude that nature itself tells a person what kind of food he should eat.
