  • Limiting the intake of table salt (sodium chloride) into the body.
  • Increasing the volume of foods that have an alkalizing effect (dairy products, vegetables, fruits), as well as the amount of fluid entering the body.
  • A slight decrease in the amount of proteins and fats supplied with food (refractory lipids of animal origin are mainly limited). In the case of concomitant obesity of varying severity, the diet can be adjusted by reducing the amount of carbohydrates in the diet.
  • Culinary processing is normal, food can be boiled, steamed, fried, stewed, baked. The exception is meat; it cannot be boiled. It is also prohibited to cook dishes in broth, which contains a large number of extractive compounds, in particular purine bases.

Purine bases (nucleotides) represent a class of organic compounds that are the basis of the genetic material of cells (DNA, RNA). In the human body, they are involved in a complex metabolism, which results in the formation of uric acid, which is excreted in the urine. Gout is a metabolic disease in which the number of enzymes directly involved in nucleotide metabolism decreases. The result is an increase in the concentration of uric acid, the excess of which is deposited in the tissues in the form of crystals of uric acid salts. Some of them often accumulate in the tissues of joint structures, leading to the development of a specific inflammatory process and attacks of pain (attacks of “gouty” joint pain). Diet 6 for gout involves reducing the intake of purine bases into the human body, thereby reducing the concentration of uric acid in the blood and its salts in tissues.

Due to the reduced content of oxalic acid in the diet, it is possible to reduce the intensity of the formation of insoluble stones, therefore diet 6 helps prevent the development of urolithiasis. The table mainly includes food products that affect the reaction of urine, causing it to become alkaline. This leads to partial dissolution of already formed acid salts and insoluble stones from them.

Diet menu No. 6

Diet table No. 6 was developed by the Soviet scientist Pevzner and is therapeutic. It is prescribed to people suffering from urolithiasis and gout. The essence of the diet is to exclude from the diet foods rich in oxalic acid and purines - these are sausages, young meat, nuts, legumes, rhubarb, fatty meat and fish broths, as well as chocolate and cocoa. At the same time, the emphasis in nutrition is on fruits, vegetables and dairy products. The amount of salt consumed on this diet should be significantly reduced.

You should also somewhat limit the proportion of fats and protein foods in the menu, and in case of obesity, fast carbohydrates too. At least four meals a day. It is worth noting that diet table No. 6 requires mandatory preliminary boiling of fish, meat and poultry - this is necessary to completely eliminate purines from the food composition. Basic principles of nutrition for gout

It is important to follow several recommendations for shaping your daily diet. The diet for gout and high uric acid, what is possible and what is not, includes the following rules:

  1. Eat the right fats. When reducing the level of animal fats in your diet, include vegetable oils, in particular olive, sunflower, and corn oils.
  2. Lose weight. Excess body weight aggravates the course of the disease, provokes kidney dysfunction, and eliminates the possibility of normal excretion of uric acid. If you are overweight, reduce the energy value of your diet.
  3. Drink a lot. In the absence of edema and normal kidney function, abundant fluid intake is recommended. It is important for you to drink at least two and a half liters of liquids per day, including plain water with lemon juice, as well as fruit and berry juices, herbal teas, rosehip infusion, and milk.
  4. Take a multivitamin. To correct the condition, it is especially important to consume sufficient amounts of vitamins C, PP and B2.
  5. Eat foods that alkalize your urine. These include almost all fresh fruits and berries. Their value in the diet also lies in their high potassium content, which has a diuretic effect.
  6. Drink alkaline mineral water. It alkalinizes urine, which makes its composition active against uric acid. The alkaline reaction of urine helps dissolve dangerous compounds and reduces the risk of disease progression.

  • The diet includes eating 4-5 times a day.

Preparation:

  • Cut the chicken fillet, put it in a blender, add onions, a raw chicken egg and bread soaked in milk, pepper, and dry dill. Grind thoroughly. Add boiled cold rice, fine table salt and mix the minced meatballs, let it sit for 20 minutes in the refrigerator. Form meatballs and steam for 6-8 minutes.
