Intravaginally.

Vaginal tablets

Having previously been freed from the contour packaging, the tablet is inserted deep into the vagina in a supine position 10 minutes before sexual intercourse; duration of action - 3 hours. Single dose: 1 tablet. designed for 1 sexual intercourse. Be sure to introduce a new vaginal tablet in case of repeated sexual intercourse. The frequency of use is limited by individual tolerance of the active substance and the frequency of sexual intercourse.

Vaginal gel

The gel is inserted into the vagina using a dispenser-applicator. Place the dispensing device on the end of the tube. Fill it completely to the ring-shaped mark or until the piston stops so that no air bubbles form. Disconnect it from the piston. Before sexual intercourse, insert the gel deep into the vagina using a dosing device, slowly pressing the plunger. It is easier to administer while lying down. Remove the dosing device. The effect of the drug begins after 3 minutes and lasts for at least 6 hours. Be sure to introduce a new portion of the gel before each repeated sexual intercourse.

Single dose. 1 serving of gel is designed for 1 sexual intercourse.

The frequency of use is determined by the tolerability of the drug and the frequency of sexual intercourse.

It is possible to use Benatex® gel together with a condom, vaginal diaphragm or intrauterine device.

Pharmacodynamics: Antiseptic, also has antifungal, antiprotozoal, contraceptive local (spermatocidal) effect, inactivates the Herpes simplex virus.

Shows bactericidal activity against staphylococci, streptococci, gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus, Klebsiella, etc.), anaerobic bacteria, fungi and molds. Acts on strains of bacteria resistant to antibiotics and other chemotherapeutic drugs, suppresses plasmacoagulase and staphylococcal hyaluronidase. Prevents secondary infection of wounds by hospital strains of microorganisms.

The spermicidal effect is due to the ability to damage sperm membranes (at the beginning of the flagella, then the head), which makes it impossible for the damaged sperm to fertilize. The effect develops after 8-10 minutes (tablets), 5 minutes (vaginal suppositories), 3 minutes (cream) or immediately after insertion into the vagina (tampon).

In vitro active against Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia spp., Trichomonas vaginalis, Herpes simplex type 2, Staphylococcus aureus. Has no effect on Mycoplasma spp. and has little effect on Gardnerella vaginalis, Candida albicans, Haemophilus ducreyi and Treponema pallidum. In vivo shows some activity in the prevention of certain sexually transmitted diseases.

Does not affect the normal microflora of the vagina (including the Doderlein bacillus) and the hormonal cycle.

Pharmacokinetics: Practically not absorbed when administered intravaginally, it is removed by simply washing with water and with normal physiological secretions.

Indications: For external use. Solution - primary and primary delayed treatment of wounds, prevention of secondary infection of wounds by hospital strains of microorganisms (soft and bone tissue injuries, burns), purulent wounds, drainage of bone cavities after surgery for osteomyelitis.

Thick mass - superficial thermal burn, trophic ulcer, long-term non-healing soft tissue wounds (including infected ones), purulent-inflammatory skin diseases due to diabetes mellitus, paraproctitis.

For intravaginal use - local contraception for women of reproductive age (the presence of contraindications to the use of oral contraceptives or IUDs, the postpartum period, the lactation period, the period after termination of pregnancy, the premenopausal period, the need for occasional protection from pregnancy, omission or delay in taking constantly used oral contraceptives) , lavage of the bladder, urethra, seborrheic dermatitis, vaginal irrigation.

Disinfection of premises and medical products.

Dosage regimen: Externally, a 10% solution is diluted with distilled water to obtain a 1% aqueous solution, soaked in gauze bandages, napkins or tampons and applied to the wound daily.

The mass is applied at the rate of 0.2-0.4 g/sq.cm of the wound surface, previously cleaned of purulent discharge and necrotic tissue, or a gauze pad or turunda soaked in the drug is applied. The maximum daily dose is 50 g. Dressings are carried out daily, the course of treatment is 14 days.

Intravaginally (for the purpose of contraception):

— Suppositories: lying on your back, the candle is inserted deep into the vagina 5 minutes before sexual intercourse, duration of action is 4 hours.

— Tablets: lying on your back, the tablet is inserted deep into the vagina 10 minutes before sexual intercourse, duration of action is 3 hours.

— Cream: injected into the vagina using a dispenser-applicator, preferably in the “lying” position, the effect develops immediately and continues for 10 hours. Be sure to introduce a new capsule, tablet or a new portion of cream in case of repeated sexual intercourse.

— Tampon: remove the tampon from the package. Place your middle finger in the middle of a flat surface. Spreading the outer labia with the other hand, push the tampon deep into the vagina until it comes into contact with the cervix. The effect of the drug develops immediately and continues for 24 hours. During this period, there is no need to change the tampon even with repeated sexual intercourse. You can remove the tampon no earlier than 3 hours after the last sexual intercourse and no later than 24 hours after its installation. If you have difficulty removing the tampon, you need to squat down and use your index and middle fingers (like tweezers) to remove the tampon. You cannot take a bath or swim with a tampon inserted.

Liquid concentrate: pre-dilute with water to obtain a 1, 2, 3, 5 or 12% solution. Surfaces in the room, furnishings, sanitary equipment are wiped with a rag soaked in the prepared solution at the rate of 150 ml/sq.m of surface for 0.5-1 hour. Laboratory glassware and medical products are completely immersed in the solution (the container is closed with a lid) for 0.5-2 hours and rinse or wash under running water for at least 3 minutes.

Side effects: Allergic reactions, contact dermatitis.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, dermatitis, malignant skin neoplasms, bleeding wound.

For intravaginal use - colpitis, ulceration and irritation of the mucous membrane of the vagina and uterus.

Interaction: Any drug administered intravaginally can reduce the local spermicidal effect (including soap and solutions containing it).

Iodine solutions (including 0.1% iodonate solution) inactivate the drug.

Special instructions: To increase effectiveness, careful adherence to the method of use of the drug is necessary. Can be used in conjunction with a vaginal diaphragm or IUD. Avoid washing or irrigating the vagina with soapy water, as... soap destroys the active substance of the drug (external toilet is possible only with clean water).

PREGNANCY, LACTATION:

It has no harmful effect on the course of pregnancy. Not excreted in breast milk, can be used during lactation.
