Pharmacodynamics and Pharmacokinetics
The drug contains large quantities of conjugated double bonds. They are characterized by a high level of tropism for sterol formations in the plasma membrane of fungi.
When interacting with them, double bonds contribute to increased membrane permeability, due to which cytosolic components are exchanged with the external environment, which stimulates cell lysis.
Maximum activity is observed against Candida albicans and a number of protozoa such as Trichomonas .
After entering the body, the components of the drug are almost not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and are excreted through the intestines.
