If you want to drink a lot of water all the time - reasons for men, women and children


When thirst is normal

There are many relatively healthy reasons for Thirst that make you thirsty.

  • Physical activity, such as vigorous exercise.
  • Heat.
  • Eating salty or spicy foods.
  • Non-compliance with drinking regime.
  • Too much alcohol or caffeinated drinks.
  • A cold or other illness that is accompanied by a high (over 38 °C) temperature.
  • Vomiting or diarrhea.
  • Skin burns - from thermal to solar.

  • Taking certain medications. For example, diuretics (diuretics) or antipsychotics.

It's normal to be thirsty. If the thirst subsides after you swallow a glass of water or even two or three, and does not return for several hours, you are fine.
